In Dnipro, a 36-year-old man was sentenced for detonating a grenade out of revenge against a woman.

In early January 2024, a man left a live grenade on the windowsill of a friend's apartment. At the time of the explosion, a woman and her small child were present in the room. Fortunately, no one was injured; only the window in the apartment was damaged. Fragments of an F-1 grenade were recovered from the scene.

Investigators and officers from the criminal police of the Novokodatsky district conducted a search at the suspect's residence and seized an RGD-5 grenade with a fuse.

Investigators charged the suspect under Part 2 of Article 194 (Intentional destruction or damage to property) and Part 1 of Article 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, military supplies, or explosive substances) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The indictment was sent to court by the police. After examining the evidence, the court found the accused guilty and sentenced him to 4 years of imprisonment.
