The head of the Federal Intelligence Service of Germany (BND), Bruno Kahl, believes that Russia will be capable of attacking NATO territory within the next six years - by 2030. There is a direct military threat from Russia. Kahl emphasizes that Vladimir Putin is concerned not only with Ukraine but also with the creation of a new world order.

This was reported by ntv. It is noted that Bruno Kahl sees a direct military threat from Russia.

"By the end of this decade at the latest, Russian troops will be able to strike NATO. The Kremlin views the Federal Republic of Germany as an enemy," Kahl explained, noting that Germany is the second-largest country supporting Ukraine amid Russia's invasion.

The head of the BND stressed that "we are in direct conflict with Russia." According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin is concerned not only with Ukraine but also with "actually creating a new world order," and Russian intelligence services are increasingly using all their means "without any moral reservations."

"Further escalation of the situation is unlikely," warned the head of the BND, adding that politicians must provide German security services with the means and authority to avert these dangers.

NATO Aims to Develop a New Strategy in Relations with Russia

Relations between NATO and Moscow have reached a critical point following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Despite this, the Alliance steadfastly adheres to the "Founding Act" signed with Russia in 1997, six years after the collapse of the USSR. This document called for joint efforts to build a stable and peaceful Europe. The NATO-Russia Council, which served as a platform for security cooperation, has not held meetings since 2022, and relations between the parties have been deteriorating for a long time.

Therefore, NATO member countries are now attempting to formulate new approaches to cooperation with Russia. According to an unnamed source from the U.S. government, it is time to develop a new strategy that considers the interests of all allies. Currently, a specific project for the new strategy is not yet being discussed, as NATO is focused on gathering opinions from all 32 member countries.

As a reminder, NATO has revealed the size of its army.
