A resident of Ivano-Frankivsk killed his friend in Pidhorodne; police have apprehended the attacker.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Yesterday, January 7, the police received a report of a murder in the city of Pidhorodne. It turned out that the suspect had been living for some time in the victim's house. The day before, during a shared leisure activity, a conflict arose between them, during which the assailant grabbed a knife and inflicted three stab wounds on the homeowner. After that, the attacker called the neighbors and informed them that he had found the homeowner dead.

Law enforcement officers detained a 32-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The suspect has been informed of the charges under Part 1 of Article 115 (intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the article's sanctions is up to 15 years of imprisonment.
