Мы не обсуждаем прекращение огня в обмен на западные гарантии, - Зеленский в Париже.

During his visit to Paris, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is not discussing ceasefire in exchange for security guarantees from Western countries or expedited accession to the European Union. He specifically emphasized that such statements are a product of Russian disinformation. He made this remark at a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron.

During the meeting, the presidents discussed a number of important issues, including military support for Ukraine and plans for the upcoming winter. Zelensky noted that Ukraine requires additional equipment and expressed hope for continued assistance from France. They also discussed granting permission to use long-range munitions, which could strengthen the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"[Ceasefire in exchange for guarantees from Western countries] is not a topic of our discussions, no truces, we did not want to talk about this. I saw something like that in the media. Russia is working extensively with the media on this information, so everything is clear here," Zelensky emphasized, debunking rumors about such agreements that are being spread in the media, particularly through Russian disinformation.

The president also presented Macron with the "Victory Plan," which includes specific steps to achieve peace and restore Ukraine's territorial integrity. They agreed to continue cooperation at the team level, particularly regarding joint arms production.

Another important topic of the negotiations was the preparation for the second "Peace Summit," which is set to take place in November. France has already announced that it will hold a conference on nuclear safety and protection on October 17, which is one of the key points of the "Peace Formula." Zelensky thanked France for its ongoing support and highlighted the importance of Macron's leadership in achieving a just peace in Europe.
