The scandal involving retired prosecutors in the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office is escalating. After the discovery of several "young" retirees in the Khmelnytskyi region's prosecutor's office, journalists decided to investigate the situation in other areas, leading to reports about employees of the Transcarpathian prosecutor's office who, despite their young age, are already receiving pensions.

SubscribeIt turns out that 13 prosecutors from the Transcarpathian region not only continue to work but also receive pension payments.
For instance, Anatoliy Kovalchuk, who is just 52 years old, is the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office. In 2023, he received 65,946 hryvnias in pension. He first declared his pension in 2020. In the nationwide ranking of retired prosecutors, Kovalchuk ranks 30th, writes Censor.NET.
Kovalchuk's first deputy, Ivan Kosey, aged 47, surpassed his boss in the pension ranking. He received 136,038 hryvnias in pension for 2023 and first declared it in 2022. He is ranked 20th in the nationwide list of retired prosecutors.

- Ivan Kosey – first deputy head of the regional prosecutor's office
- Vladimir Govorukha – head of the oversight department for compliance with laws of the Bureau of Economic Security
- Valeriy Chernychko – head of the supervision department for the National Police and the fight against organized crime
- Andriy Malynych – head of the department for representing the interests of the state in court
- Olesya Palinchak – head of the international legal cooperation department
- Igor Sekhin – head of the department for organizing support for the prosecution in court
- Denis Tetenich – head of the department for protecting children's interests and combating violence
- Nelya Bokshan – head of the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations
- Valentina Fritsyuk – head of the department for handling citizen appeals
- Viktor Kuzan – deputy head of the Berehove District Prosecutor's Office
- Miroslav Onysko – head of the Vynohradiv department of the Berehove prosecutor's office (receiving a disability pension)
- Vadym Savka – head of the Mizhhiria department of the Khust District Prosecutor's Office
The situation with retired prosecutors raises many questions. It turns out that many prosecutors receive both salaries and pension payments, despite the fact that most of them have not even reached retirement age.
