The Ukrainian government has approved and confirmed the appointment of Oleg Gotsintse as the head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil Use.

This information was made public by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The news also drew reactions from the authors of the Telegram channel "All Moves are Recorded."

"Oleg Gotsintse has been appointed as the head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil Use following the departure of Viktor Pinchuk's appointee, Roman Opimakh. He was the sole candidate for this position," the channel's authors write.

Gotsintse previously served as the head of the resource use department at Ukrgazvydobuvannya. He also worked as a project manager for Naftogaz of Ukraine.

Gotsintse is also an expert at the State Commission for Mineral Reserves. As reported earlier, on November 8, the government dismissed Roman Opimakh from the position of head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil Use.

Opimakh had been in this role since November 6, 2019. Previously, he served as the executive director of the Association of Gas Producing Companies of Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers also appointed Sergey Dekhtyarenko as the acting head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil Use. He has held the position of deputy head of this institution for digital development, digital transformations, and digitization since January 12, 2022.
