Ермак и Умеров завтра отправятся в США, чтобы встретиться с Келлогом.

The Head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, will travel to the United States on Wednesday, December 4, accompanied by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko. The visit aims to hold talks with official representatives of the U.S. government. One of the key issues will be the peace settlement plan initiated by Keith Kellogg, which outlines a diplomatic approach to the return of occupied territories.

Sources from Radio NV in diplomatic circles report on the date of the visit and other details. According to another source, it is expected that Andriy Yermak will have a conversation with Keith Kellogg, who was appointed by Trump as the special representative for Ukraine.

"The main goal of this trip is to meet with representatives of the team of newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump," the publication’s interlocutor noted.

The meeting is expected to discuss key aspects of the future policy of the Trump administration regarding Ukraine. The publication mentions that requests for comments regarding this visit sent to the Ministry of Defense and the President's Office went unanswered.

"Yermak had planned a trip to the U.S. right after the elections with Olha Stefanishyna, but at that time it was not possible to arrange negotiations with people close to Trump," the source reported.

What is known about Keith Kellogg and his peace plan

Recall that Donald Trump appointed 80-year-old retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg as his assistant and special envoy for Ukraine and Russia. According to CNN, Kellogg proposed a plan to end the war, which includes the return of occupied territories through diplomatic means and a temporary halt to Ukraine's NATO integration process.

This plan also involves a partial easing of sanctions against Russia in exchange for a ceasefire, freezing the front line, and establishing a demilitarized zone in Ukraine. If a peace agreement is signed, all sanctions against the Russian Federation should be lifted. Funds for Ukraine's reconstruction are proposed to be raised through customs duties on the export of Russian energy resources.

Ukraine once again declares to the world that it seeks security guarantees through NATO membership or other similar alternatives. Meanwhile, Russia remains unyielding, attempting to stall peace negotiations, and eventually rejects all U.S. proposals to buy time for maximum advancement in Ukraine. International leaders are discussing a variety of ideas that could bring peace to Ukraine, such as the Israeli or Finnish models, which propose different approaches to resolving the conflict.
