For instance, the CEO of Boryspil Airport, Oleksandr Dubrevskyi, has earned over 7.7 million hryvnias during the two years of war. He explains that the airport maintains infrastructure readiness, updates security systems, and trains personnel.

Some leaders of smaller airports, such as in Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, or Izmail, earned around 300-400 thousand hryvnias in a year.
Despite closed borders and destroyed infrastructure, airports continue to maintain their technical bases, and their directors continue to receive substantial payments.
