Deputy Head of the State Tax Service of the Sumy Region, Alexey Mazurenko, conducted an intriguing financial transaction involving the sale of a car.

On October 4, 2024, he received 820 thousand hryvnias from the sale of a 2016 BMW X5, which he had purchased in 2021 for 520 thousand hryvnias. Despite the market price for such vehicles starting at 30 thousand dollars, the financial operation appears quite unusual.

Considering the exchange rate differences, the prices at the time of purchase and sale significantly deviate from market conditions. Initially, there was an undervaluation at the time of purchase, followed by an overvaluation at the time of sale, taking into account the current currency exchange rate.

It is also known that with an official annual salary of 320 thousand hryvnias, Mazurenko resides in a rented apartment of 95 square meters, which belongs to someone close to him. In this context, it seems reasonable that he has reverted to using an old AZLK-2140 vehicle.
