Ukrainian models on the OnlyFans platform, despite the ban on legal tax payments due to existing regulations concerning the porn industry, are earning significant incomes. The average model earns approximately $20,000 per month (or 825,962 UAH - ed) - this is 103 times more than the minimum wage and several hundred times more than pensions.
This information was shared by MP from the "Holos" party, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, on his Telegram channel. He announced the submission of a bill for the decriminalization of pornography in Ukraine.
According to the deputy, the number of Ukrainian models on the OnlyFans platform from 2020 to 2022 exceeds 5,000 individuals. Their total earnings during this period were:
Thus, on average, the income of a single model can reach approximately $20,000 per month (equivalent to over 826,000 UAH). This is about 103 average salaries or over 245 average pensions for the elderly, or 303 minimum pensions. It is worth noting that in 2024, the minimum wage in Ukraine will be 8,000 UAH per month, while the minimum pension for insufficient experience will be 2,725 UAH and 3,370 UAH for pensioners with the required experience. According to Zheleznyak, the bill will help regulate the current situation and assist workers in this sector in legalizing their incomes.
"OnlyFans is already paying taxes in Ukraine. However, 'Ukrainian actors' even if these people wanted to pay taxes, it is impossible. This is essentially a confession of guilt. I hope this is a sufficient argument for those who still believe that it is 'not the right time' to abolish this medieval norm," wrote the MP.
The head of the Tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Danilo Hetmantsev, stated that the company PornHub is evading tax payments in Ukraine. For this, they have already been fined. In contrast, another adult service, OnlyFans has paid nearly 1 million US dollars into the state budget over the year.
Previously, it was reported that a Ukrainian OnlyFans model regularly donates to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to her, it is better to help in this way than not at all. Another content creator on the OnlyFans platform paid 13.2 million UAH in taxes to the Ukrainian budget, despite not declaring her income. Hetmantsev stated that citizen "C" decided to pay income tax and military levy after the tax authorities' work.
