On Tuesday, November 26, an emergency meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council will take place in Brussels. The agenda includes discussions about the repercussions of Russia's recent use of a new medium-range missile, which struck a defense industry facility in Dnipro. NATO member country ambassadors are expected to attend the meeting.

This was reported by APF. According to the publication, this information came from diplomats on Friday, November 22. They indicated that the main topic of the negotiations would be the missile strike on Ukraine that occurred on November 21.

As per AFP, officials have confirmed that the meeting will indeed occur on Tuesday, November 26. The consequences of such strikes on Ukraine will also be discussed.

What is known about the Russian missile strike on November 21

On November 21, Russia launched an intercontinental ballistic missile at Dnipro. As a result of the attack, an industrial facility was damaged, and two fires broke out in the city.

Russian President Vladimir Putin later confirmed in a statement that Russia used a new missile against Ukraine. However, he claimed that it was the "Oreshnik," whereas in Ukraine, it is believed that it was indeed the "Rubizh" missile. Interestingly, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Zakharova, received a call during a briefing and was forbidden to comment on the ICBM strike on Ukraine. Following this, Putin made his statement.

Putin asserted that the strike was a response to attacks from Ukraine using long-range weapons supplied by the United States and the United Kingdom. This refers to strikes in the Bryansk region. According to Putin, this marks a new stage of escalation. Furthermore, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow had previously warned Washington through the nuclear de-escalation hotline about the launch of the hypersonic missile.

Recall that earlier, Informator reported on how to shoot down the "Rubizh" missile in Ukraine. We also wrote about how many such missiles Russia has in total.
