The stop on Ivasyuka Street in Bryukhovychi (Lviv region) can be described as a test of patience. The broken road, massive potholes, and giant puddles force local residents and patients of the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center to navigate through this "road quest."

However, there is good news: the Shevchenkivskyi District Administration will announce a tender for the repair of this area.

Why is it so bad?

Currently, the terminal stop of route No. 8a looks deplorable: the asphalt is damaged, and the potholes grow larger with each rain. The administration attempts to maintain the area by filling it with recycled asphalt a few times a year and grading the surface. But this is only a temporary fix – during rainfall, huge puddles once again inundate the territory, even flooding the pavilion.

"The road surface at the terminal stop of bus route No. 8a in Bryukhovychi is not just in poor condition, but in a critical state. During rainfall, large puddles accumulate there, flooding the surrounding area, including right at the stop's pavilion," the administration explains.

What will be done?

The plans are ambitious:

  • Completely restore the asphalt over an area of 1080 m².
  • Partially renovate the sidewalks and make them accessible for people with limited mobility.
  • Install tactile paving and create convenient ramps.
  • Implement drainage to permanently say goodbye to the puddles.

However, all of this will require about 3.5 million hryvnias.

The stop is used not only by local residents but also by patients of the UNBROKEN center, who are undergoing a challenging rehabilitation process. For them, a convenient and safe infrastructure is a real necessity.

If the tender proceeds without delays, soon the residents of Bryukhovychi will be able to forget about the "road nightmare" and reach the bus without difficulty even after rain.
