Imagine this: you imported a car into the country to deliver it to the military. The vehicle reached the front lines, serving our defenders, and then… you receive a fine of 100,000 hryvnias. It sounds absurd, but this is the reality faced by Ukrainian volunteers.

SubscribeThis was reported by MP Nina Yuzhanina in her Telegram. Fines are issued because the cars, brought in as humanitarian aid, are transferred to a different military unit than the one specified in the customs declaration.
Why is this happening?
The law does not allow volunteers to change the details in the declaration if the car was handed over to another unit. Formally, this is considered a violation of customs regulations. However, in practice, all these vehicles are going to the front, where they are desperately needed.
What are the authorities doing?
Yuzhanina has proposed an amendment to the Customs Code to eliminate penalties for such "violations." If a vehicle is transferred to any military unit and this is documented, there should be no fines.

The war continues, and volunteers remain a crucial link in supporting the army. Penalizing those who selflessly assist the front lines is not only unjust but also absurd. As Yuzhanina stated, "a fine for volunteering is disgraceful".
Now it is up to parliament – we will see if the deputies can rectify this strange situation.
