In Dnipro, police arrested a previously convicted local man for attempted murder.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers determined that a verbal conflict had occurred between a group of vacationers and the suspect, during which the man grabbed a knife and struck the victim several times in the neck. Bystanders immediately called the police and an ambulance.

The police apprehended the suspect, who turned out to be a 54-year-old man with multiple prior convictions.

Currently, the detained individual has been informed of the suspicion under Part 2 of Article 15 and Part 1 of Article 115 (attempted murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The penalties for this article range from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.
