Zaporizhzhia police have shut down the operations of a drug farmer.

On October 17, law enforcement officials seized 58 cannabis plants, 4.5 kilograms of the same plant in dried and crushed form, 55 packets of seeds, cultivation equipment, and 5 zip bags containing a white crystalline substance. The estimated value of the confiscated items on the black market is approximately 2,500,000 hryvnias.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Zaporizhzhia region.

The drug dealer, who had previously been convicted of serious crimes, was apprehended by the police under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Investigators have charged him with offenses specified in Part 2 of Article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs), Part 2 of Article 310 (Sowing or cultivating opium poppy or cannabis), and Part 1 of Article 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, military supplies, or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
