Зеленский успешно ведет дипломатию с Трампом: Politico сообщает, как президент стремится наладить отношения с США.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, is actively adapting to the political landscape in the United States and Europe, skillfully navigating relations with the newly appointed leader of the United States, Donald Trump. He is attempting to shift the blame onto Vladimir Putin in the event of any failure of peace initiatives. Additionally, Zelensky continues to demonstrate his readiness for negotiations.

This information is reported by Politico. According to the publication, Zelensky aims to create a scenario where Putin is portrayed as the primary opponent of the peace process, while the U.S. can act as a mediator.

Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba told the publication that Kyiv understands the necessity to adapt its diplomatic strategy to avoid unpleasant situations with Trump. Zelensky, for his part, is trying to ensure that any failure of peace initiatives is blamed on Russia.

"Kyiv knows it will have to recalibrate and avoid conflict with Trump, so Zelensky emphasizes the importance of seeking diplomatic solutions," Kuleba is quoted by Politico.

Particularly significant in this context, as the publication adds, is the candidacy of Keith Kellogg, whom Trump has nominated for the position of special envoy for Ukraine and Russia. Kellogg, known for his support of peace through strength, has repeatedly stated that any agreement to end the war must include reliable security guarantees for Ukraine. Kyiv can engage in constructive negotiations with Kellogg, which is undoubtedly a positive aspect, the publication notes.

Zelensky continues to show that he is ready for talks, which is part of the strategic maneuvering with the Trump administration and Europe. The publication also highlights the president's recent interview with Sky News, where he suggested that temporarily occupied territories may not be included in NATO.

However, this suggestion raises questions about whether Trump will support Ukraine's membership in the Alliance. Experts believe that the likelihood of Trump backing Ukraine's NATO membership is significantly lower than it would be with Biden.

Nevertheless, according to Politico, this statement by Zelensky may serve a different purpose. He likely made it to demonstrate his willingness to consider various options and to show readiness for direct cooperation with Trump.

Kyiv Prepares for Meeting with Trump

Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine is actively establishing connections with Donald Trump's team. In particular, he confirmed that the upcoming visit of the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, to the United States is being prepared.

Moreover, media reports indicate that Zelensky is preparing for a meeting with Trump. Through three key points, he aims to sway the Republican to support Ukraine.

The head of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry, Andriy Sybiha, reported that following a phone call between the presidents, preparations for their meeting are underway. A dialogue between Zelensky and Trump has already been established. Currently, preparations for their meeting are in progress.

At the same time, The Washington Post previously reported that under Trump's administration, Ukraine may be offered to relinquish part of its territories. We also discussed what other options Trump is considering to end the war, according to American media reports.
