On February 4, employees of the criminal police of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, together with officers from the Security Service of Ukraine, detained three offenders aged 21-22 at their residences in the Odesa region and Dnipro.
As law enforcement officials discovered, one of the detainees is a displaced person from the Donetsk region who constructed an improvised explosive device and anonymously left it in a hideout. His accomplices traveled from the Odesa region specifically to carry out the crime. They checked into a hotel and awaited instructions from a curator who was coordinating the terrorist act. Subsequently, the hired operatives were informed of the geolocation of the stash, from which they retrieved the improvised explosive device and planted explosives near the military enlistment office in Pavlohrad. On February 2, around 18:40, they detonated it remotely.
Based on the gathered evidence, the suspects were informed of their charges under Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act). The accomplices of the enemy face imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years. The procedural supervision of the pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Dnipro Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense for the Eastern region.
